Practice / Coordination and reaction
Respond to warning lights quickly and correctly while ignoring the ones that need no action.

A reaction and monitoring test checks how quickly you respond to the right signal, and how well you hold back when no action is needed. Pilots watch for warnings and must react correctly, not just fast. Training providers commonly report reaction and monitoring modules in cadet aptitude tests.
What this section trains
Rest your fingers on keys 1 to 4 so you never need to look down.
Check the colour first, then the position. Pressing on a green light is a mistake.
Do not guess ahead of the light. Wait for it, then act.
If you miss one, let it go. Thinking about it costs you the next signal.
More help: how to prepare for a pilot aptitude test.
It usually measures both speed and accuracy: how fast you respond and whether you choose the right response. Many such tasks also count wrong or unnecessary responses.
Four lights, ENG, FUEL, HYD and ELEC, come on one at a time. A red light means press its key (1 to 4) or click it; a green light means do nothing. Foundation runs for 75 seconds with 2 seconds to respond, and Advanced runs for 90 seconds with 1.3 seconds.
Your results show hits, misses, wrong keys, presses you should not have made and your mean reaction time. Cut the wrong responses first, then work on bringing your time down.
